FAQ

Does The Course Offer Advice That Can Be Used For Any Type Of Student?
This is designed to help any student grasp how to find their talent while building mastery in college planning. Our goal while designing this curriculum was to enable students to cross the finish line, regardless of their grades, or background experiences. There are nuggets that apply to every type of individual looking for a specialization or education beyond high school. The results for those who take this course seriously and applies it will have outcomes ranging from profound to gaining insight on mistakes not to make. You have the potential to make a significant difference in the outcome and remember that you can take this for a test-drive for 20 days with no risk.
Why The Focus On The Big Decision Factors When There Are Other Ways To Plan?
Colleges rarely, if ever, divulge how they reached their decision to admit one student over another so in order to compete among the elite candidates you first need to understand the framework that guide those outcomes. By observing data from over a decade of case studies in college admissions from an array of students with different interests, the conclusion is that The Big Decision Factors is the criteria that allows the achievement of admission targets. Priorities the institution focuses on may change from year to year which makes it even more critical that this foundation is where one begins their process.
How Much Time Dedicated To This Course Will I Need To Commit?
Throughout the lecture series you will find that certain milestones take longer to complete than others (such as the essay / application / refining the college list) for example. You’ll want to spread these out according to your schedule but if you commit a short amount of attention a few days a week, you should be able to complete this course in its entirety within 3 weeks. Revisiting your lectures to engage in discussion with the community often happens upon completion of all milestones. It is up to you how much time you spend on the course.
What Should I Know Before I Begin This Course?
You do not need any prior experience in preparing for college before studying this course. That said, you may want to familiarize yourself with the differences between community college, and a 4-year university path. Sometimes knowing very little before beginning this course helps stay away from bad habits that form such as focusing too much on rankings or brand names.
Do Any Of These Courses Give Direct Access To A College Counselor?
Throughout the series of recorded lectures you will notice they are designed to simulate an experience of being alongside a personal advisor for college. This allows you to be aligned with the counselor to engage and promote deeper thought on your part. You will most likely find this to be personally enriching to the point that you can obtain most answers on your own.
How Is The Course Different From Other College Information Or YouTube Videos?
Blogs, videos, social media forums, all offer information in fragments to a standard plan. Because no student is the exact same, generic information will be incomplete without a structured experience. Discovering College Admissions guides you through a meticulous process for understanding the opportunities that will propel you beyond using basic resources. While you will gain access to tools you also absorb information from a community to get you there most efficiently.
How Is The Course Different From Having A Personal College Advisor?
Throughout the development of a plan for a student, a counselor will notice overlap during the discovery phase that will be consistent even for students with differing majors. For example: course selection in high school / volunteer experience / how to do college research etc. While there are services to help guide this process individually, some families can take the initiative on their own; with a little bit of help. Your objective of receiving knowledge based on experience to help your student along can be offered without support from an outside entity or school counselor.
Will The Course Have A Time Limit On How Long I Can Use It?
Enjoy unlimited lifetime access to Discovering College Admissions by joining with a one-time fee. At points you will need a refresher
